The Verkada website claims to have three (3) interactive, remote-site monitoring centers to support about 10,000 customers (without reference to the number of monitored systems). Such remote monitoring is a core market/value proposition, which also means a core source of RMR/Recurring Monthly Revenue. We want to know if the sources of monitoring are owned/operated by Verkada, or do they utilize traditional third-Party contract monitoring. Verkada customers need to know because this segment of the industry has become so fragmented and diluted (over 90 % false alarms) that law enforcement has lowered their priority to slow or no site-response, unless remote witness a verified 911 type threat. Or is it next-gen Pro-Active services known as “Remote Guarding”, or “Virtual Guard, or ?. Some of these next-gen monitoring firms are “re-purposing” and updating the 50 year old business models, with a new respect by the police. Which is it for Verkada… outdated or updated? I attempted to reach top management 4 different times over 2 month period, but zero response. Are they shielding their secret sauce, or uncomfortable with full disclosure? Current and future customers deserve an answer. All IPVM comments are encouraged. And I will continue the deep-dive research. Observations by: Lee Jones; Support Service Group
