How do you guys manage doing firmware updates or even just general maintenance on multiple cameras? Are there utilities out there that can push firmware updates/ apply certain settings to cameras?

Jan 28, 2017Every manufacturer does it differently. Most have a utility program that allows you to manage all cameras settings and firmware upgrades. Bosch and Axis both have great tools.
We have a lot of experience with Avigilon and one feature that is underrated is when you upgrade the server software if there is new firmware it gets pushed out to the Avigilon cameras on the system. Doesn't sound like a big deal but when you have hundreds of cameras this can save hours in labor because the tech doesn't do anything also but upgrade the server software.
