SGI MATRIX FRONTIER is our access control vendor since 1985, I' interested in the opinion of IPVM regarding this company. Maybe a comparison to other systems.
Looking For Information On SGI MATRIX FRONTIER Access Control
Hello, welcome!
Interesting question. SGI Matrix is not often mentioned, but they utilize Mercury Security hardware which is used by numerous other vendors across access. Feature wise, the hardware supports access features, like 'Secure Channel' OSDP that other brands do.
What sort of integrations do you use in your system? Video surveillance? Fire alarms? Biometrics?
Matrix Systems develops and manufactures (in the US) access control software, multi-tech card readers and the Aperta IP Device Controllers. The Aperta panels are all native OSDP and have been developed using industry standard, open architecture platforms and work with the Frontier Integrated software solution. Information about the current field panel hardware is at the following link:
Thanks for commenting. Is the Aptera newly released? How many doors can it support?
Aperta was released Q3 of 2018 and can support 4 doors (up to 8 readers for in/out applications). I can provide additional details if needed.
I hit the wrong key in my last response, my apologies. The Aperta field panel was released Q3 of 2019.
