Looking For Information On Presidential Signing Hikivision Law

Being relatively new to IPVM, and trying to see how much trouble we may be in , I am tryin to establish:

  •  when the hikvision ban became law,
  •  when it becomes effective,
  •  if there is any real understanding about equipment already sold to landlords leasing to the us government.

The answers are probably on the site but I have been unable to find them.

Thanks.

Perry,

The NDAA ban was signed into law on August 13, 2018. See: Ban of Dahua and Hikvision Is Now US Gov Law.

The details of how the law is being implemented / regulated are being developed currently, see: US Gov China Ban Rules Process, SIA Lobbies Against 'Blacklisting', For 'Risk-Based Protocol' and US Drafting Separate Rule for NDAA Dahua/Hikvision 'Blacklist'.
