Looking For Feedback On My Interfaces

Wondering what kind of edge ("If Any") it would be to offer your customer base the the ability to display and control their IP Cameras securely. As many different IP Camera brands and models at the same time. With or without forced logins. With or without some or all IP Camera controls. Using any Internet browser capable devices that are running any browser. From computers to tablets to phones and TV's running on any operating system. Without the use of any Plug-In's.

Some live examples. Works with any and all IP Camera brands and models that support CGI commands:

With IP Camera Controls

That is a wonderful concept. That is going to be a big selling point. Have you rolled it out to customers yet? Great idea!

Thanks for the kind words. These Interfaces have been casually offered in the past to mostly tech savvy IP Camera owners. This is the fist time it is being offered to everyone.

It would seem that many don't use any Input/Output pins that many IP Cameras support. To control other devices via the IP Cameras Interface. This is easily done and here is a more visual example of starting a train for 1 minute.

I'm curious and looking for responses that explain why this IP Camera feature seems to be rarely used.? It could be easily used to turn on/off a light as one of many examples.

love the flexibility that IO pins offer. I suspect the reason they are very often unused commercially is because it is not quite "plug and play", and there isn't a massive demand (yet?) for the ability to activate lights/sirens/etc via a camera IO on a large scale.

Companies and residences with a need to control lighting/HVAC and so on are probably already doing so through dedicated software and it is unnecessary to manually wire a camera's IO to a relay connected to the mains for a switch. Doing so would also introduce a dependency on the camera for the lighting, making it cumbersome to replace the camera and then the camera becomes a liability if it misbehaves - not only might you lose footage but you lose the ability to control your lighting.

I would rather have "smart" lighting, and turn lights on/off via software than control it by IO, though I like having the option to do both.

While I may rarely use IO pins myself, I would not buy a camera without them as you never know when you might find a use for them.

You can also force a login. Example:

User:admin

Password:admin

why login when i can see the pics without doing so?

Your choice. You could force a login at all times. For demonstration purposes I show both methods. But you would choose one or the other in real life.

Ok, fair enough.
