Looking For A Stool A Tech Can Use While Terminating Patch Panels While 6 Feet Up.

I have a tech that fell off ladder 2 months ago and broke his leg. He wants to get back to work now but for right now, ladders will be off limits. However, I would like to use him still for termination, etc...

While he is able to walk, standing in one place for a while will be hard. So I am looking for some sort of portable stool that he may be able to use while terminating panels. However, the stool will have to be able to have him sitting 6 feet up. Does anyone know of such a stool or maybe a ladder attachment? It will have to be relatively portable.

Thanks

I doubt you are going to find a solution that meets osha, but a couple ideas.

Work platform

Step platform. Put or weld a chair on it.

Folding life guard chair.

Or buy a wooden lifeguard chair.

You could also rig a rock climbing chair, but all these solutions are asking for the guy to just break another leg.

Instead of terminating things off the ground, why not just bring cables to table level and give him a table and chair to terminate on. Then feed a service loop back up and screw the patch panels in place.

Even without a broken leg I found it much easier to do this than stand on a ladder terminating.
