Looking For Pool Gate/Door Alarm With Button & Remote Override

Supposedly this is required by law in Florida. Does anyone know of a door alarm that can be deactivated by pressing a button, but if opened without pressing the button or the door is left open it will go off.

Preferably to have the option of a remote alarm.

Thank you

Those are common in my area too.  Amazon carries some for ~$70.  I've not seen any with remotes.

There are products by GRI in the pro side that can be wired together (like smoke alarms) so that you get the audible signal in all areas (often a requirement). They use alarm contacts, allowing for recessed contacts to make the installation neater.  These are often wired completely separate from burg panels and sensors.

For diy stuff you can buy pool alarms at Home Depot or Lowes.

Another common option in Florida is to rent a pool fence for the inspection, as that is an alternative to the door alarms.

We take this seriously when we are asked to provide these as part of new builds.  Dead is forever.  We have successfully integrated the wired GRI wallplates with wireless burg systems to provide a permanent solution.  A lot of builders install the cheap stick-ons to get through the inspection and then toss afterwards.  Clearly they've never met a parent who lost a child in an unattended pool accident.  We have.
