It's been a number of years since I looked at small local alarming systems, so I'm guessing I don't know the technology that well. The strata in my building is looking for an inexpensive way to prevent or discourage street people form using a couple of the more hidden areas in the building as a sleeping place. I'm talking about a room that is about 12' x 12', but has to be left open (it is the lobby to an elevator control room and a stairwell) because it is a fire route. The area is heavy concrete, difficult to get wire to, and wireless is likely very iffy as well. I'm thinking some kind of a battery powered motion activated audible, maybe one that could have a recorded .wav file on t (or just an annoying noise) that would shut off once there was no activity for a minute or two. Does not need to be monitored. Any ideas? Thanks.
