Is Kodak OEMing Commercial CCTV Cameras?

A rep from Kodak just scheduled a visit with our engineering firm to show us their latest cctv cameras. I can't find anything about Kodak relative to commercial grade cctv cameras. Can anyone provide me with information on Kodak's cameras, VMS, etc? I'm very hesitant to meet with them.

There are some very consumer-oriented surveillance cameras sold under the Kodak brand. You can find them on Walmart, among other online outlets.

Kodak is a shadow of its former self, and much of what they have been working on in terms of new technology has little, if anything, to do with cameras. Anything consumer electronics related you see from "Kodak" is likely the result of a brand licensing arrangement, not actual products developed by the company.

I would almost be curious to meet with them just to see what they were trying to pitch, and to try and figure out who it was OEM'd from.

#1, can you ask the rep for a link to Kodak's cctv / video surveillance website? That would help us better analyze it. As Brian noted, they are almost certainly OEMing someone else and we could better determine whom by seeing their website or documentation.

Btw, this would not be the first time a legacy camera company OEMed video surveillance - see Failed Manufacturer Polaroid Enters Surveillance and not surprisingly they have done poorly.

Somehow CCTV has become the fashionable thing to do for failed film camera giants...
