As the question is stated, is it possible to use a LPR camera to recognize digits/characters from something like a label? Specifically for a material handling application. At my company, we have material that is transported into warehouses and this material has a label on it. I'm still getting details for label size and placement but let's hypothetically say that the label is of a license plate size and in the same spot every time the material passes through a doorway to enter the warehouse. I've never installed a LPR camera so I'm not sure what parameters are available to even attempt to set this up. I know much of the configuration is based on the VMS software, but at this moment I'm just curious if it's possible or better yet, if anyone out there has done something like this. Thanks.
Is It Possible To Use A LPR Camera To Capture Data From Other Objects, Such As Labels?
