What LPR / ANPR solution do people use and how do you find them?

I use a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4050 with a network card as a line printer (lpr) and area networked printer (anpr).

Is that what you are asking about?

So looking at the other replies, I surmise LPR is License Plate Recognition.

What is ANPR?

Thank you.

IPVM should have an "acronymn finder" for those who don't know all the acronymns ...

No worries, generally its LPR in the US and ANPR in the UK but the same technology and concept just different name.

I use Milestone LPR with Axis P3225-LVT camera for parking entrances. This combination work perfectly (better then I expected.);-).

Do you have any special setup on the P3225-LV or i.e exposure / shutter speed etc or is it basically out the box? :)

Very interesting, thanks for the feedback. Out of interest with Milestone LPR what sort of Framerate and resolution ( or is it full res) are you using?

I think it is OK if you have parking or other stop and go LPR application. In other cases (free flow with higher car speed) such set up (shutter speed / gain) will not work.

I agree. For free flow application you need better (special) cameras.
