hi
i am preparing to design access control system to my Client but they have very specific demand
they want to integrate the access Control with alarm system , when the employee enter the pass number to access to the building they want the alarm system deactivated and when he go out the alarm activated.

It will depend a lot on the system(s). Some have that capability integrated into the software for particular manufacturers. (RS2 for instance, requires the user to present his card twice and it will turn off a DMP system). In general, you can have an output of the Access system fire an input on the Burg system. Some burg systems still have a "key switch" (dry contact) that will allow you to arm/disarm. You generally won't have an audit trail from the burg system, but you can match it up with the Access Control system easily enough. A slightly more sophisticated way is to assign a code (or codes in a profile) to the Access System that just toggles the arm/disarm relay. It can be a little messy sometimes. The user would have to be aware of the state of the system before he enters their code or he/she might re-arm the system. They then would have a second code for normal daytime operation. You can use an LED to give them an idea of the state of the system before they use the code. I prefer the software integrated method. So investigate your Access System and find out software integration is already available with given alarm panels. Good luck.

To that point, I once saw a workaround done where a key was kept in a cabinet locked behind a small maglock and reader. In order to get the key, the user had to scan their badge to get it.

It wasn't my design/idea, but it seemed to work for the user.

If this is what they want, you might want to look in to using DMP, Bosch or ICT. We use both DMP and Bosch often, for these applications (I prefer DMP) we have also looked at ICT and think it's a great solution but since we have some many DMP and Bosch systems out there already I'm not intersted in bringing on another line right now.

The above comments are good. With that, can you tell us which access and intrusion platform you're working with?

There are often manual integrations available even if no module can be bought off-the-shelf, but the particulars matter.

Many thanks for all answers
the system we work with it Dahua Access Control & Alarm system , and we going to use RFID reader with keypad. for in & out
our idea to use the keypad for Arm and disarm by enter specific code to arm or disarm the system,
if some one had test dahua access control please help if this possible or not

Interesting Hafid. Is the version of Dahua access you're using controller based or standalone/ smart lock based?

we will used Controller Based

I don't know about this one Hafid. The keypads nor the controllers have dry contact outputs on them. It says "alarm" on one of the outputs. My guess is that it fires an alarm if the controller sees a door in alarm. I am not sure you can use the keypad to create a condition that would fire that relay, and it does not appear that there is a software interface built in.
