So rather than trying to race down any more, Swann wants to try and climb up... LOOKS like they dropped Hikvision, but I have no idea what manufacturer these actually are. Any thoughts on this and how this affects the market?
Infinova/Swann's New "Installer Series": Infilux
Are you talking about these?
Bolide is offering some very similar looking/spec'd stuff. That's not to say Bolide is the original manufacturer, as they seem to also have some gear that looks like Sunell relabels.
Regardless of who the original manufacturer is, I wouldn't expect a lot of impact from Infilux. Infinova has never made a huge impact, and Swann has historically been big box focused. I wouldn't expect much change.
- Not ONVIF compatible.
- Not even Swann compatbile.
- Only Infilux compatible.
- Integrator grade, but sold direct.
- Price Meh.
- No real spec sheet.
Market impact: undetectable
Actually, there are spec sheets on the www.infilux.com site, and they claim "ONVIF 2.4" -- but ONVIF doesn't show them as conformant. I'd say I'm surprised, but...
Impact on the market is next to nothing in terms of trying to move up; they're a moderate player in the mid-level retail/grocery market as far as we have seen in our region but definitely not something that players like Axis, Bosch, or Genetec would consider "equal." Their best play would be in a DIY model, but there it is really tough to beat out a Dahua or HIKVision (cyber concerns fall second to price there more times then not)
