How To Playback Video From A Hikvision Dvr After Camera Is Disconnected?

I am trying to playback a video from a hikvision dvr. Someone cut the camera cable, so now it is not letting me playback even previously recorded video from that channel. Any suggestions?

NVR. Its a 4 channel IP system.

Have you tried the File Management Menu?

You can get the video from the local GUI or Web interface. If you are using the 4200 remote client, that may have an issue. Just do not delete the camera or video will be lost.
