How To Expertly Identify An Unknown NVR / Recorder?

Step *: Take the results, start with the images, see if anything stands out esp. from a known mfr.

Step *: If the are no mfr. pictures, then goto the webpage results, there should be a bunch of manuals. See if any manuals are from a real mfr. Look for MAC addresses in the OEM manuals that are in screen shots of the network config section. Lookup the mfr. specific part of the MAC address, the OUI ****. ******* **** ***** ***’* **** their *** ***, ** ***’** *** the **** ***.

Step *: If there are only other OEM manuals, goto the spec sheet and try some common strings; search them as ONE long string in quotes, for instance Protocols or Resolution strings:
