How To Expertly Identify An Unknown NVR / Recorder?

how did you identify?

Search secrets revealed, but I insist on credit if the Undisclosed method is used in the future.

Step 1: Identify all words, no matter how common*, shown in the picture, in this case:

************************************************/********************-****-****-****-************.***" ******="*" ***="**** *****" width="436" ******="**" ****-****="*****://**************.**********.***/*******/**************/****************************************************************/********-****-****-****-************.****" ****-***="*****://**************.**********.***/*******/**************/****************************************************************/********-****-****-****-************.***" data-srcset="https://d1tzzns6d79su2.cloudfront.net/uploads/embedded_image/b794cc89b2c7a79278775898d3228e2d30381664a0041e5dc541840a76f3df0e/76aed613-1ccb-4b9e-b80a-c10a08f4b512.jpg *****, *****://**************.**********.***/*******/**************/****************************************************************/***********-****-****-****-************.*** ****, https://d1tzzns6d79su2.cloudfront.net/uploads/embedded_image/b794cc89b2c7a79278775898d3228e2d30381664a0041e5dc541840a76f3df0e/x2_76aed613-1ccb-4b9e-b80a-c10a08f4b512.jpg ****, *****://**************.**********.***/*******/**************/****************************************************************/***********-****-****-****-************.*** ****" srcset="" *****="(***-*****: *****) **.*******, 100vw">

** **** ****, **** means “*****”, “****”, “***”, “F1”, “***” ***.**

Step *: Put all them in words in one long google search string starting with a generic product name followed by each word being in quotes, e.g. “NVR” “SHIFT” “MENU” “ESC” etc. Turn **********.

Step *: Take the results, start with the images, see if anything stands out esp. from a known mfr.

Step *: If the are no mfr. pictures, then goto the webpage results, there should be a bunch of manuals. See if any manuals are from a real mfr. Look for MAC addresses in the OEM manuals that are in screen shots of the network config section. Lookup the mfr. specific part of the MAC address, the OUI ****. ******* **** ***** won’t **** ***** *** OUI, ** ***’** *** the **** ***.

Step *: If there are only other OEM manuals, goto the spec sheet and try some common strings; search them as ONE long string in quotes, for instance Protocols or Resolution strings:
