How Much Video Surveillance Hardware Product Sold In The US Last Year Had An Original Port Of Origin In China, And Secondly, In Asia?

Im writing an internal paper in which i would like to state (with some degree of accuracy) how much of the Video Surveillance Hardware Product sold in the US last year had an original port of origin in China, and secondly, in Asia.

As a followup questions, id like to know if anyone knows how much CCTV hardware has at least 50% or more Chinese origin?

Anyone know the answer to those 2 questions? ( or can get me even close?)

Please advise if you do.  I  Googled it.  No direct answer there.  I searched this site, didnt see it specifically as a known statistic.

Off the top of my head, I would estimate at least 50% in China and probably 90% from Asia. I am going by percentage or revenue, percentage of units would clearly be higher.

Let's work it back from who is not entirely made in China - Axis, Avigilon, Hanwha (increasingly), the Taiwanese (mostly), a few others but even a lot of non-Chinese are made in China (e.g., Panasonic who is in the process of selling their China factory).

There are some other strategies companies are doing now and that is shipping from China thru canada to conceal the original port as being China. If US imports from china is at 50% and it drops, there maybe no impact to actual exports from china.

From a prominent China law blog:

Transshipment is a crime and Chinese companies and their US importers can have very different interests when it comes to importing product into the United States. The Chinese company wants to ship product to the US above all else and the US importer should above all else want to avoid Customs trouble and stay out of jail. The Trump Administration has made known its desire to vigorously hunt down and prosecute transshipment claims.

I do not doubt some will try but that is a pretty dangerous thing to do.
