How Low Can Cloud-Pricing Go - Open-Sourcing The Economics

tldr: cloud storage is, IMO, a race to the bottom that will only benefit AAG (AWS, Azure & GCP) & co. Local storage (camera, server, DVR) will be around for a long time to come. The economics for cloud storage aren't ideal unless its short term or regulated in a given market. Hybrid cloud and improved bandwidth will give local storage the ability to "offload" video segments for computes (AI), Collaboration, and Redundancy.

Full transparency, I'm the CEO @Solink (solink.com) - a cloud video and data analytics company. This post has nothing to do with Solink but is intended to have a transparent conversation about the raw economics of Cloud storage (aka "Leased infrastructure").
