How Does Hikvision Sales Impact Their Sales Reps And Distributor's Commissions?

Here  are some questions that might be worth knowing the answer to:

1.  If you are a Hikvision employed sales rep do these sales severely hamper your commission?  Imagine that one day a deal is about to closed for $200k of your product and the sale hits right as the customer is about to place an order.

2. Same question for distributors.  At what point does it become too damaging?

Sales do impact commissions in the sense that you are now earning a commission on a lower invoice amount. I have also heard from Hikvision employees/ex-employees and integrators that discounts on Hikvision equipment are not that hard to get right now in general. So, that $200K order has a high probability that it was going to be $250K originally, and the customer was already given a discount to incent the order, making the sale announcement have no real impact.

Front-line employees at distributors I have spoken with in the past say they "love" these sales, it generates more calls/sales, and gives them more opportunities to upsell other items (those cheap cameras and recorders likely need cables, switches, workstations, monitors, etc.)

I have not heard of commissions for Hikvision employees or distributors being limited or cut just because of a sale. I know you did not ask that specifically, but it is something done from time to time by companies when products are deeply discounted.

Usually when sales people are provided a goal of 30% growth to make their commissions and the company routinely offers 20% discounts, you lose top producing sales people who can sell for someone that doesn't offer rebates.
