Has Anyone Had Issues With Honeywell HEN16284 NVR?

Has anyone experienced any issues with Honeywell HEN16284 and recording issues?

 

I have a customer in the middle of nowhere, who is experiencing the camera connected to port 1, and the software keeps reverting back to not recording.  They changed the setting back multiple times, with the same result.  The camera was moved to port 9, and continues to record.

 

Ideas/thoughts/brainstorming welcome.
