Hinovision Experience? Who Do They OEM From?

Anyone had any dealings with hinovision and their camera products? I recently purchased one of their IR/PTZ cameras not fully aware of the Hikvision debacle of being remotely exploitable and now I'm afraid of putting the camera on my company's network.

we are Hikvision OEM distributor, All of our IP cameras are 100% originally from Hikvision, manufactured by Hikvision. we can show you Hikvision invoice and their shipping document. 

but as an OEM distributor, we can not say these products in the name of Hikvision, and it is not Hikvision branded. just because it is the rule of OEM business.

Hey Steven. A quick easy way to check if the camera is HikVision is to look it up via it's MAC Address on WireSharks OUI Lookup Tool.

Steven,

Where does that statement come from? Did they email it to you or? I ask because I could not find it on their website. That noted, scanning their websites, the form factor of their models looks very similar and Hinovision also lists SADP just like Hikvision.

Hikvision confirms that Hinovision is an OEM. However, Hikvision also notes that they do not accept OEMs leveraging Hikvision's brand name.

I came to know of Hikvision through a company that was selling both a Red line for unbranded Hik and a blue line for unbranded Dahua. They both have identical GUI's on their VMS software and the phone apps look identical. The Red line app intead of ivms4500 is called Guarding Expert. So, one way to find out is to download the hikvision app and setup the remote view with the camera in question.
