Looks well done, fancy:

On the positive side, this shows the level of commitment and taste to do things to high-end Western standards. This was at The Monastery Manchester which has very strong reviews. This dinner / event was done for the opening of a new office in Northern UK.

On the negative or at least critical side, that's a lot of money to spend and undercuts the common refrain of Hikvision being so much cheaper because things are cheaper in China. From speaking with the Monastery, such dinners cost at least $10,000 USD, given a venue fee of ~$3,000 USD for events less than 250 people and even assuming 100 attendees at a minimum of ~$80 per head.

But, so long as Hikvision is willing and able to spend at that level, they are going to engender a lot of support from dealers who have never been lavished with such events combined with such low prices.

That's pretty aggressive.

The kind of smaller dealer most likely to use Hikvision is going to be impressed as all hell by this kind of treatment. Making small timers feel important is the best way to gain their loyalty.

At this point, the only thing Hikivison has to bank on is the fanatical devotion of their dealers in the face of all evidence and good sense. Doing whatever it takes to gain and grow that fanatical devotion is a smart strategy on Hikvision's part.
