I have a customer who wants to add audio to their building. We have worked out the legal side of how to do this with the lawyers and just need to figure out how to do it...
We're currently using DS-2CD2142FWD-IS and trying to figure out a way to wire a mic into the camera and looking for some advice on what we should use for a mic. The camera will be located in a small vestibule (man-trap) where visitors will be signing in before they can enter the facility.
We're using Spectrum as the VMS.
Are you looking for a call box where the person would trigger a event/alarm or just looking to add a mic and record audio in the area?

I use Hik cameras with Spectrum. The louroe mics work great. Just make sure that you turn on the audio stream in the camera and then select the option to record the audio stream in Spectrum.
Works like a charm.
We had a site with Spectrum and there were existing Crown PZM-11 microphones powered by existing power supplies. They were to an analog system. We fed back the audio cable to the nearest Dahua IP camera we had installed and the microphones worked and recorded great.
I haven't done any IP systems where I have needed this company but I have used their systems for analog installs. I have used their processing to reduce HVAC noise and other background noise and mixed multiple microphones together in one room to cover more area.

There website is obviously not that great, but they had been helpful on the phone and at the time provided more options than Louroe. The products are still working years later.
Agreed! We have used ETS audio products with much success as well, you cant always judge a product by the quality of the web site.
