Hikvision / Scansource Reward!

ScanSource has recently got on the Hikvision train.

And they have a reward for you.... though not a particularly attractive one.

Here is the deal:

So buy $10,000 of Hikvision products, get a $43 bluetooth speaker.

It seems well... meager... considering the across the board ongoing Hikvision 'flash sales'.

Given that, for buying $10,000 of Hikvision products, what do you think is a fair reward?

Seems fair already,  they're splitting their profit 50/50 with you :)

Negative. One of the best things about Hikvision is how much they allow partners to earn. Consistently distributors report high margins on Hikvision. The best example is their UK partner DVS. While other distributors may not be at those extreme levels, they still do very well.

Of course, the greater the margin that Hikvision allows its distributors, the less money they make...

Negative.

You are right, as usual.

I must never confuse what the Train earns with those who ride do.

What do you think the ScanSource cost is on a $43 item anyway? $20?   On one of their choosing?  $10?

So maybe costing SS a dime per c-note, wow!

And you don't even get two for $20,000?

3 months to collect all the colors?

If I buy $20 in hdmi cables from Monoprice they at least send me a $1 M&Ms bag in the box.  By my math that is a significantly better return than what is being offered but Scansource.  I cannot imagine how many poor Bluetooth speakers from trade shows get chucked in the trash each year.
