Hikvision OEM Price Increase Email Notice! Did We Finally Hit The Bottom?

Interesting, I received an email from Hikvision USA saying they did not anticipate a price increase.

Dear Valued Partner: 

The White House on Sept. 17, 2018 announced a new round of tariffs on thousands of additional Chinese goods. Effective Sept. 24, 2018, a 10 percent tariff will be imposed, and the tariff is scheduled to increase to 25 percent effective January 1, 2019. While a limited number of Hikvision products are included in this latest round of tariffs, we do not anticipate any price increases at this time.

In anticipation of additional tariffs, Hikvision took action to significantly increase stock levels of the targeted products. Currently, Hikvision is carefully evaluating a number of business options designed to mitigate the impact of the planned January 2019 tariff increase, and any future increases. We will share relevant details as appropriate.

In addition, we continue to work closely with our security industry colleagues and trade associations to monitor international trade developments and their impact on our industry. Hikvision is committed to complying with all regulations while also limiting any negative impact that regulations may have on our valued partners and your businesses in the United States.
