Hikvision's direct sale Ezviz unit is marketing 'shocking value' with 4MP kits:

From reviewing online stores, 4MP is starting to spread but 1080p is still most common.

As we reported recently, Hikvision is hiring a director for their Ezviz direct sales efforts. It will be interesting to see how aggressive Hikvision gets with price and higher end offerings in this unit.

Btw, for those that recall the debate about Hikvision hiding Ezviz, the Ezviz website is now clear about Hikvision:

Am I correct in understanding that these newer systems are only accessible via EZviz's cloud interface? Even if your on site and co-located with the equipment at your home or office, to view a camera you have to go out to the cloud and then back to the NVR?

(I picked up on this from some of the Amazon comments. Apparently a recent firmware upgrade a few months back locked them down from direct access. Seems like over control on EZ's part and a real restriction to manage your own system.)

The Ezviz branded cameras have always been cloud only. The DVRs are now cloud or local interface (mouse/monitor). They used to have a web interface, but no longer.

Presumably, it's part of their differentiation between this line and the Hikvision brand...but yes, agreed that it's a real limitation.
