Hi all,has anyone had any experience with the Hikvision extended PoE switches like the DS-3E1326P-E? Curious to see if the 250m stated cable distance is truly achievable.

There was a test done on here that achieved a working camera at several hundred meters without a special switch. Also at ISC this weekend I noticed a company selling a smart switch capable of 650 meters. so 250m seems reasonable.

Who was selling that switch?

We have not tested that, but we do have some related reports that may be of interest.  We tested a Uniview NVR up to 200m as well as tested long distance / out of spec cable runs.

Make sure you like the product first - if you install non-standard cabling you will have very few options when it comes to replacement.

Extenders can help by allowing almost any camera to work but some cost more than the camera you are connecting them to.

The switch is being sold by our local Hikvision wholesalers. The extended option is selectable per port if required. We have an installation where several cameras will exceed to standard 90m distance so was just curious to see if anyone had tried this switch with Hikvision cameras

Yes the POE will work up to these distances and there are more expensive extenders out there that will get you an even greater range fwiw.
