The post on Hikvision's latest sale made me wonder, for dealers who buy stuff outside of the sale times, do you ever ask for (or receive) a retroactive discount when the next sale comes up?
In standard retail, it's fairly common that if an item goes on sale within 30 days of your purchase you can bring the receipt in and get the sale price. Do Hikvision distributors offer something similar for dealers with bad timing on their purchases?
Yes, ADI provided a credit after I called about some Hik cameras I purchased that went on sale a week later.
I spoke to my distributer about this a few days ago. He applied it to an order I put in at the beginning of the week, within the sale period, but not to one I placed last week. He said it had to be invoiced during the sale.
I have received a credit adjustment at Silmar Electronics within 30 days of the original purchased date.
