Looking to see if anyone else has noticed that the Hikvision DDNS server is down.

Maintenance ?

I wondered as much. I had four or five customers text me that they couldn't access their systems starting Friday night

Yep,

My monitoring system alert me Friday at 11:42 PM

then Saturday about 5:20 PM back to normal

so far so good

I have seen this many times for Dahua but this is a first time for Hikvision.

"HACKED" is quite concise, general, and doesn't cause damage on its own, perhaps that's one reason it's used by whoever could change the camera name. There's nothing more to really say there, anyway. It could just as well be the slogan for most of the companies out there.

Well, this was the calling card for the current Dahua hack.  I have seen a couple of people posting this about Hikvision so maybe it's more them just someone just changing the camera name.
