Hikvision Creates A Warehousing Robot?

Hikvision has apparently developed a pallet lifting automaton to help in the warehouse.

Funny, it looks a lot like the Amazon Kiva robot, shown in this video.

Always the skeptic I see...  Isn't there a third option, mutual independent invention.

These two bots may look similar, but take a closer look.

Amazon Kiva:

Hik Crossroads:

  1. Front ID on the right vs left
  2. Side ID square not round
  3. Single blue vs Dual blue lights 

Plus if they were copying or OEMing don't you think they'd change the color to yellow or something?
