Though Hikvision does not list Amazon as an authorized partner, Hikvision is aiming to increase Amazon sales with a new eCommerce Specialist opening
We asked Hikvision for clarification on what this means relative to sales of their products on Amazon but they declined to provide any detail.
Earlier this year, we analyzed Hikvision's relationship with Amazon: Amazon Sales of Hikvision China Cameras, though this move indicates Hikvision USA more directly supporting Amazon sales.
Hikvision likes to complain about IPVM's coverage but this is a perfectly fair and reasonable question. Hikvision choose to publish something referencing their 'sales on Amazon'. We found it and asked them for clarification and they refused.
I suspect Hikvision will again complain that we are causing trouble but if they do not want their business relationship with Amazon to be questioned, they should not publish documents that reference that.
Does this surprise anyone?
This is their business model, sales and profits at all costs.
They DO NOT care about their partners or distributors.
To quote Jeffrey He when asked if Hikvision cares about their customers:
“Hikvision cares about their customers money”
