Hikvision already produced a new line called hi-look which performs well in the cheap markets

They already stoped oem for some brands and converted them to sell hi-look instead

So if any one have any info about hi-look I would like to know more about it like what chip they use

Also, they still use dvrs like the f1/n seires which support 12f/s recording ext.....

Is it made by hikvision or by other third party?

HiLook is produced by Hikvision. To my knowledge, it's a series of cameras which they previously did not sell outside of China, the 1 series (DS-2CD1XXX), and possibly the 3 series, as well. Here's an example of the 1 series, the DS-2CD1341-I turret.

We don't have full details on what chips they're using and all of the differences. At a glance, some of the housings look like they may be plastic instead of metal, some of the mounting hardware doesn't look as robust as even the 2 series, and they appear to lack true WDR.

I believe that some of these models have released in America as the Value Express line, but with what changes, we're not sure. We have some models on order and plan to test as soon as they arrive.

Dear ethan:

As I heared that they use fullhan chipset and for line 1 seires its a 4*1 camera they have both metal and plastic housings but acording to the cam data sheet on the hik website they use cheaper materials than those with hikvision logo as u can read from the specs like product weight ext...

I think that line was produced to kill shenzen brands in foregin markets

And they allready stoped some oem and inforced them to distribute hi-look instead of it

Also they use dvr that record 12fps for 8 ch and 16 ch

Same dvrs with same specs are presented from longse which copied hik software

So I am wondering if hikvision use third party to prdouce such products

Also I can send you the line 1 seires and line 2 free for inspection

Btw, we are going to buy HiLook products and do a test. While it is not offered in North America officially, it seems to be having a big impact in the rest of the world.

yes , the hilook do not available in the US market , because this market seems not price driven , but other market including Latin America market and Africa market they release this , this line want to kill many shenzhen oem products , but in the end seems also lower down the hikvision brand price itself .

i think there are manly two reason that hikvision want to do this line , one is that change their oem customer to this line so save their company oem support cost and control the distribution channel by themselves . the other is that to get the low end market share from those shenzhen companies , as hik they have bigger and bigger sales target every year .

so in cctv market , we think only hik can really have the price threat to other company , because they still have enough margin to lower down .
