So I am fairly decent at troubleshooting, but I can't seem to figure out what's going on here. The issues are fairly random and seems to only effect the two cameras in the video. I started trying to fix the top camera as it was completely out. It seems the DC connector had an issue. I fixed that and my tester displayed video. It also displays on my tester at the head-end. It seems my tester was having a slight issue, so I'm going back to the site with a new one just to confirm the video doesn't drop.
The bottom camera worked fine until I partially got the top camera working. A reboot can sometimes make both cameras display fine. It is a newer Dahua DVR, but the issue was some times present on the older DVR before the fan went out and cooked the unit. It is conditioned space, so heat isn't a primary issue. The bottom camera is one of the longest runs, but isn't really that long compared to some of the other cameras that work just fine.
This system was a cost effective upgrade from SD analog so not all of the lines are new. Any thoughts as to the issues with the video? I've never seen the bottom camera do that and as I said was working fine when I arrived but the top camera was not working at all on that day. I tried searching online but didn't find anything. I try to use IP for most installs, but I generally haven't had many issues with CVI.
Also, just before the top video was shot, I had just rebooted the system and the top camera was working fine for about a few minutes or so.
