Hanwha Techwin Americas Explains Flurry Of Promotions
This week two things happened with Hanwha, changing the name from Hanwha Techwin to Hanwha Vision, and numerous Hanwha Techwin employees announcing promotions. This was questioned by a few people in the rebrand post, with Hanwha's EVP Tom Cook responding by saying it has to do with expansion and is unrelated to the name change:
Corporately, we provide company bonuses to all personnel and increases at the end of February based on cost of living, company success the year before. In addition, each year with our success we have to continue to expand our sales team and other departments. We are hiring another 30+ sales people and my philosophy has always been promote within and develop and mentor sales people to become sales managers. So, all of these promotions are based on growth and need to more field management and sales people. This is typical every year and some at the end of September now. For example, we have 10 new hires just in sales starting March 20thbefore the show and they will all attend the show to get a great experience. BTW, All of this have nothing to do with the name change, that is just another move in the growth and positioning of our company now and in the future.
