This is somewhat off topic but for those of you who like system design (and sports), the video below explains how professional sports leagues place mics (in the bases, on the floor, on the foul poles, etc.) to generate higher quality / more engaging broadcasts.

Apr 30, 2018Slightly even more off-topic: One of my old favorite bar bet facts is: When you're watching a Cubs baseball game on TV, you hear the bat hit the ball in your living room before the people on the roofs of the houses behind left field. I don't think that is still true with digital TV broadcast, and it certainly isn't true with Internet-based streaming.
