Good Or Bad: How Is Business This Year?

I talked with three friends in commercial construction and architectural engineering today, and all three told me it was slowing down for them. They work in North Texas, Oklahoma City, and Baton Rouge.
Three data points and anecdotes over lunch aren't a reliable metric, but they explained to me that they suspect a larger trend here. One of the guys I visited with told me his general contracting company just had a major contract terminated due to lack of (US Government allocated) funds.
I am very curious to read how others vote, regardless of where in the world you are based.
It would be nice to see a geographic interpretation of these votes.
