Looking For A Mid-Tier Intrusion/Access Product Line

So, our company has been having an issue when it comes to our product line offering for intrustion panels/small access control systems. We have a residential line we are happy with; we have a large scale enterprise/command center level system we are happy with, but nothing in between. I have been researching IPVM discussions and reports a ton the past few days and wanted to solicit some direct feedback for recommendations of product lines I should be looking at. Here's a little info from my end

- I'd like to have programmibility via software. I'm not a huge fan of programming the panel on site by entering in things on the keypad while holding a huge manual trying to piece it all together. We've worked with a few basic Honeywell panels and it didn't go as easily as I would have liked

- Multiple partitions would be key as the customers would be commercial facilities with 1-3 locations. We'd like to find something that either has its own suite of wireless devices or can interface with Inovonics wireless devices.

- We have worked with the DSC Neo panel in the past and did not have a good experience with it- they had software to program the panel but it rarely worked. The only reason we ended up getting it to run was because we had an Alarm.com module that made installation a lot easier.

- We looked into DMP and liked their line but meeting their quotas isn't something we can commit to at the moment.

I appreciate the input!

Have a look at ICT.  The WX panel is browser-based and has full access and intrusion integration.  It supports 128 doors and 512 inputs.

Best part with wx, you can upgrade to use the gx software just from a firmware update (and pay for the gx software licenses). I'll be getting my 3rd and 4th site up and running soon with gx, and after that a handful of our houses to do home automation with wx.  I very rarely see the mentions of ict on ipvm but it's pretty solid.

Yeah we have been happy with our WX and GX installs.   GX is very impressive and has a lots intergrations into other systems.  Pricing blows most other Enterprise systems out of the water.

I'm trying to see if I can get my next system setup to control the lights for a 24k sqft warehouse with access control and burg, it should be a pretty nice one to show its capabilities. Maybe someday I'll see about putting in in place of the hvac controls.

What lighting control system are you going to integrate with?

Just ict with 12vdc lights, controlled off the pirs, and having output expanders be the relays for the lights in their zones.

currently all our light are 120/277 running off Leviton pir switches.

Have you looked at Bosch's distribution line, Bosch B-Series Intrusion?

Bosch also makes the Access Easy Line, which is available through distribution. Does up to 32 doors and much more reporting than the panels.

I agree with Brian Rhodes.  We use fair amount of the Bosch B-Series controls with the B901 access module.  It's a straight-forward product with easy remote programming/management.  The reports are weak.  We manage & administer all our accounts so setting up a client with their own software is generally not an issue.

Bosch Access Easy Control System

The Bosch B Series panels now available thru Anixter and ADI will fit the bill

Programming made simple with software at the panel, remote programming made simple to overcome firewalls. Solid product with solid performance.

Availability thru channels is a NEW option for a product line that was previously only available as a dealer.

B3512, B4512, B5512, and B6512 all share common hardware accessories and programming. The differences between the panel is how many Points, Users, or areas you want to have.

Access control comes into play on the B6512 and don't forget Bosch IP Cameras support starting with the B4512 integrating 2 cameras for alarm verification as well as utilizing analytics and it can act as a motion detector too.

I can wholeheartedly recommend ICT's WX/GX range. We run it in our Branch/Franchise space (273 sites) and it works great.

Designed for small to medium sized applications, but with the ability to go up to enterprise level in a heartbeat.

Great support for field technicians, online training etc. All updates can be uploaded remotely as you use a web browser to browse into the controller. Access control, alarm, CCTV and automation functions built into one cost effective platform. Even comes with a mobile App to run the whole system.

Best of all is that it's cost effective, carries no ongoing licensing fees and all firmware upgrades are free.

I've been out of the intrusion market for years not, but I have heard Nortek/2Gig has a commerical intrusion panel that has inputs for access control integration (first in/last out disarm/arm) functions and supports their wireless and zwave.

I would say to look at isonas for access control that is very simple and straight forward. That's been my favorite access control product over the last few years.
