I have exhausted my fingertips and found zero card readers or anything but enclosures for a WAP.

Background: Corn Grinding Mill - Lots of Combustive Dusts - Class 1, Div 1 and Class 1, Div 2 spaces abound.

Does anyone have any products that you mind sharing?  Thanks in advance.

Wireless:

Wireless ATEX

The search for “intrinsically safe” will bring up results and then you need to see if UL is required or ATEX.

What credential format does the reader need to work with?

Our Hazardous & Explosion Proof Access Control Tutorial may be helpful here too, as we list several reader options.

Circling back around... all of the products linked here and in the tutorial are good for Class 1 rated spaces.

Does anybody have any Class 2 products they know of?

Follow up question: If the door opens from a Class 1 space to a Class 2 space the hardware should be rated for 1 or 2? I assume Class 2.

The higher/ most stringent rating is Class 1.(ie: NFPA 70, cited by 29 CFR 1910.399)

I think that most providers offer Class 1 products with the premise that they satisfy Class 2/3 environments.

You could also do a Von Duprin 98/99 panic bar in a pneumatic version with a pneumatic transfer hinge.
