It seems there is no 64 bit version for Linux. Is that correct?
If so, can we expect a 64 bit version in the near future?

That is correct. We have native 32-bit and 64-bit installers for Windows operating systems, but only 32-bit installers for Ubuntu Linux.
We are working toward 64-bit native Linux installers, but I would not expect it in the next 3 to 4 months.
