Evolv False Alerts On An Altoids Tin

Over the weekend, I was visiting a museum in NYC, and as I was walking past the entrance, the security guard told me to take out an Altoids tin out of my bag, and hold it in my hand in front of me. As I walked past Evolv, it showed an alert (red lights), and after showing the security the tin in my hand, they let me past without secondary screening.
