EN 62471 Phobiological Radiation

Hello everybody, are you aware about this LED specification/regulation? I know this is a European norm for illumination system but it seems it is related also to IR LED CCTV camera. Do you have any experience about similar request in the US?

You mean this?

"All lights sold in Canada, the European Union, and Asia are required to be tested to the IEC-62471 standard to protect workers from injuries and blindness caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared/thermal electromagnetic radiation."

I have not heard of this being a practical issue in the US.

Yes, exactly

I have seen that spec on Iris scanner biometric readers for access control (ie: Fujitsu) , but I have not seen it listed in buying specifications for product specs on either physical access or video surveillance.
