Embeddable OEM ANPR Cam - Should It Exist?

Imagine this spec:

* on-device ANPR and vehicle detection

* 3G/4G cellular

* runs on batteries

* optional radar for accurate speed detection

* open source - can run custom apps

Some ideas we heard before:

- embedding into variable speed signs to know who's speeding

- embedding into VMS boards to display "personalised" SLOW DOWN messages

- traffic studies and monitoring instead of rubber tubes

Should this device exist?
