Ella - Intelligent Video Search

Hello..

I recently knew ICrealtime search tool called Ella. This is a cloud based deep learning engine that claims to make possible to search as we can do in google images, using natural language, but, evidently, in videos from CCTV Systems.

Some features seams like Briefcam, i.e. color and objects filtering, but apparently ella is more advanced than Video Synopsis by Briefcam.

Their website has few information, insufficient to evaluate this.

Have you ever perform tests of this tool? How accurate is it? Is it designed to enterprise scenario use?

I have been using Ella for the last six months with my hospital clients. We are primarily monitoring parking lots, lobbies, and entry points. Ella is different from Briefcam in that it is cloud based and puts all your video into a search engine style database. By heading to the cloud website I can search my video by object, color, vehicle make and model, and a lot more. I can setup rules and trigger notifications. Ella is fast and accurate and I can review and find video very quickly. This type of technology is going to change the way the industry uses and leverages video. I recommend you check out smartella.com

Camio

Rafael - FD I'm CEO of Camio. Ella is powered by Camio and adds features and services for the security industry described in this FAQ

Regarding accuracy, Ella's dealer portal automates the creation of custom subscription plans affecting accuracy (and price). For example, you can create a plan that performs multiple high resolution analyses per Event for cameras that require accurate vehicle make and model labeling while relegating less important cameras to cheaper basic plans.

Yes, it's designed for cloud-embracing enterprises. Ella operates in a hybrid edge/cloud deployment for cost efficiency and bandwidth savings, but there is no 100% on-premise solution today.

My problem with IC Realtime for YEARS has been that they 'release' technology and claim that it is their own and they do NOT make reference to using other peoples tech.  I would have no problem if they said that they have licensed the tech or have white-labeled it from Dahua.  They are a awesome marketing company with very few original ideas or original tech.  Most of it is just rebranded and sold at high mark-ups.  In the case of Ella -- he is the real truth in BLACK and WHITE.  I want  to understand why I or my clients should pay IC Realtime for tech that I can just get from Camio directly??

IC Realtime is totally transparent that the Ella product is powered by Camio. It is clearly said in the marketing materials and in the press. IC Realtime modified the Camio product for the security industry and sells it under the name Ella. The words “Powered by Camio” are clearly stated on most literature. It is in no way a secret or something hidden.

Ella is a Camio based tool, and based on my experience, it is good for domestic user, but it is not at all an analytical technology tools substitution.

You can check this site for more info: Camio
Camio partners: Camio;type=all
Ella doesn't generates database comparison for LPR or Facial Recognition for instance, it generates general data comparison like deep learning Google way do for all of us.

It is good for those whom do video searches based con t-shirt color, people walking dogs, people wearing black hat, red mustang, etc.

Thanks.

Rafael, Ganz CORTROL had integrated Camio at native level. So you can use it in the enterprise scenario.

  • You can do Camio NL Searches directly in the VMS client, and from the search results
    • You can seamlessly switch to any of the regular CORTROL playback modes.
    • You can Add bookmark in the main archive that can be shared with authorized users
    • You can export the result with bookmarks.
  • You can link Camio-Specific-Events(ex. ‘mailman approaching’) to any VMS action resources such as PTZ, Access Control, Relay outputs, etc.
  • Camio connects to a Cortrol Central server only. So you don’t have to warry about where your cameras are in the network topology, when you set them up for Camio AI. Just pick and chose your camera in the list.
