Will it be an augmentation as it says on ONVIF's website? If so, that means they'll need an additional upload that resides side-by-side?
Or will it look like one upload from the manufacturers?
Do I need my manufacturer of my product to care about the update to the H.265 addition to ONVIF for them to create the new firmware?
Any thoughts on this since ONVIF has released betas of it (as far as I can tell) ... I'd just like to get a conversation started.
Do you mean Profile T? You can use the existing Profile S 'protocol' with H.265 if the devices support the Media2 service, see: ONVIF Video Surveillance Tutorial.
As a practical matter, that is the path that you should look to. Since the release candidate for T just was released, it will easily take a year to get significant product adoption to get rolling for T.
