Did You Ever Hear That: "Once Asbestos Is Involved, You Have To Pay Prevailing Wages"?

This is in NJ. We are working rewring a building and it turns out there is asbestos in the walls. My employee called me up to say that he remembers from a different company that he worked for "once asbestos is involved, you have to pay prevailing wages. It does not make a difference if its union or non-union".

Is there anything to that?
