I am searching for a reliable conversion tool for .dav files to .avi or other format that can be easily played on windows cpu. Anyone know of a good one?

Dav is not an standard format, it is maybe Dahua Binary Video Format. Conversion tools can be located at Dahua website: http://www.dahuasecurity.com/en/download_12.html
Once you successfully open the dav file, you will be able to convert to AVi.

Jul 23, 2016Do you have a google photos account? I actually rename them so the uploader daemon will see them and then they play from the cloud.
Basically, it's part of a system for unlimited cloud surveillance video storage using Google. Right now I've only written the connector for Dahua, I meant to post it a while ago, just got busy with other stuff.
