Dahua provided us with the following statement addressing the recent debate over the deal to sell Lorex:

Any suggestion of Dahua exiting the US market is false and baseless. The FCC’s rulemaking process has been underway for over a year and concluded with a final Order that both preserves Dahua’s existing authorizations and provides a clear pathway for Dahua to secure future authorizations. The decision to sell Lorex was a strategic action in the best interests of all stakeholders and was undertaken following a robust review process that was not linked to the FCC’s Order. The timing of those two announcements was entirely coincidental. Dahua remains fully committed to the US market and intends to operate here for many years to come.
