Dahua Giving Preferential Terms To Their Fellow Countrymen

More of question of interest than of fact

when we parted company from dahua many years ago now

they would sell to my competitors below our cost prices mainly giving preferential terms to their fellow countryman

and now many of the most aggressively priced wholeseller and onliners are chinese

has this been replicated around the world and us the poor old westerners been turned into dinosaurs as dahua partners are now able to undercut the traditional partners legs off due to the fact they get better pricing

You should be cleaning up now though, since you got out ‘many years ago’, while less savvy partners continue to have their legs cut off, no?

I changed the title, using a quote from Mick that I believe better reflects his claim. Any concerns, let me know.

This seems to happen frequently - by which I mean low cost product leaking from China / Hong Kong sources - just look at what is being sold on Alibaba/Aliexpress, Ebay, Amazon, etc. It's clearly not authorized local source so where is it coming from if not Asia.

For example, on IPCamTalk, there is a prominent Dahua seller for Asia that lots of people buy from and they seem to be satisfied both with the support and much lower price than local authorized sources.

I was thinking also there was an element of OEM cannibalism in his post, in that the “traditional partners” were Dahua OEMs being supplanted by branded “dahua partners”.

I accept amazon marketplace has allowed

factory direct reselling worldwide

by manufacturers and wholeseller

as they ship direct to amazon warehouses

cutting out the channel

my intrest is the rise of company like savvy tech

getting special pricing to quash incumbent distributors due to preferential prices

also. Worth checking who owns these companies

I have a feeling some are owned by dahua

so they ultimately have fingers in many avenues to market

I don't know SavvyTech's pricing specifically but from our understanding of companies like LTS and SavvyTech their overhead is super low. They tend to hire young people without industry experience, pay them quite poorly compared to traditional suppliers and have minimal other expenses, focusing on cold calling, leading with selling at lowest cost.

That's my understanding as well, what the relationships beyond that are, I don't know. Anyone with evidence or details, would be happy to dig further / cover - john@ipvm.com
