Cruise Ship Surveillance

I have a customer that operates day cruise / tour boats (like whale watching boats, glass bottom boats). Anyway they want cameras around and in the boats. I'm not overly concerned around camera selection, or housings, I'm not worried about corrosive salt water screwing things up. I am mainly concerned about the DVR/NVR system. I need a lower power consumption solid state system that i can power off the ships power system (most likely 12 vdc). I also want to make sure it doesn't drain their batteries when the ship is parked. What sort of NVR is available for this application.
