Budget Estimate, Per Square Foot, For Access And Video Installation?

Is anyone using a number for budgeting security installation costs (access control and video) per square foot in corporate office space? I realize, there are nearly infinite factors out there ,number of doors, type of locking hardware, camera specifications, building location just to name a few. Our real estate team was using $.50 sqft. which I KNOW is low, and recently I have been spending between $3.50 and $6.00sqft. 

It might be a thing that can't be boiled down to a per square foot price just due to the number of variables and the difference in standards. From a high level 12 month away budget number, if anyone has a number that gets them close to the actual build cost that benchmarking would be very much appreciated.
