Controversy Over IFSEC Hikvision And Dahua Presence
IFSEC will be hosting Hikvision and Dahua for its May 2023 show in the UK, and this is already causing controversy in the UK press with i news reporting national security concerns from unnamed intelligence officials, especially since the Counter Terror Expo is happening at the same time in the same building:
An intelligence officer told i that Chinese intelligence would be monitoring the companies exhibiting at IFSEC and “utilising opportunities” to give Chinese companies an “economic edge” when developing new kit.
